HVAM Library
The Huon Valley Alphabet Mafia library is a personal catalogue of resources and literature for and about LGBTQIA+ people.
After creating the Alphabet Mafia I realised that access to YA books with LGBT+ representation, locally, was lacking. Not only were young queer people missing out on literature that was about them, but information and resources for both the teens and their families was almost non-existent.
So I decided to take the initiative and create our own private library where Mafia members, and their families, would have free, safe, and private access to the information and stories that mattered to them. Hence, the HVAM Library was born.
Below are some of the titles currently available from the library. To borrow something, please contact Sarah or drop-in to the PCYC on a Monday Afternoon to have a look at our collection.

A major thank you to Working it Out and the Tasmanian Government for the Community Grant that was awarded to us and used to purchase a large portion of our library catalogue.
